Ideas for events and
various discussions: -
Battle of the Bands -
At the Senior or Junior RAVE nights? -
There was no interest in attending these two events because of various
School Class trips this week. -
Hold our own “Jam session” as a joint event at St. Mary’s of
Cherry Hill -
This idea was enthusiastically accepted. -
Mr. Thompson has contacted St. Mary’s Youth Coordinator who was also
very interested. -
The weekends of April 26 (Jr. Prom) and May 29 (Sr. Prom) were
eliminated.
- Wildwood Morey’s
Amusement & Water Park -
Mr. Thompson has contacted the Pier for various group plans -
The Group rate for unlimited amusement access and 3 hours in the Water
Park is $30. -
To purchase the same package that can be split (a full day of
amusements, if the weather is too cool the Water Park admission can be used on
a future date) on a Consignment basis would be $32 for Youth Group members. -
The Consignment package was agreed upon because it gives the group more
flexibility and can be used as a fund-raiser by making the consignment tickets
available to our parishioners throughout the summer at a slightly higher rate
(but still at a discount). -
The last Sunday in June (6/29/03) was selected as the best date. -
Meeting at the Church for 8:30 Mass then driving to Wildwood. -
Meghan is arranging for a Guest Speaker from KYW to address the Youth Group. -
Monsignor Budney gift ideas were discussed and presentation will be at his
Retirement Party on Palm Sunday. 7)
Diocesan Lector’s class was announced and one member of the group
expressed an interest in attending. 8)
Meeting adjourned to attend the Parish Mission in which: -
Erica was the reader -
Ryan held the Cross for Venerations -
And approximately 20 Youth Group members attended the service NOTE: The above-mentioned event at St. Mary’s requires the approval of Monsignor Budney, Father Killeen (St. Mary’s) and the Diocesan Youth Ministry Office and the Morey’s Pier trip and fund-raiser also requires Monsignor’s and the Diocesan Office approval.
